Accounting 1
Students
will learn to maintain records and reports to manage cash and banking procedures for a business. The course begins with the operations of a service business and then progresses to the operations
of a merchandising business. Managing and maintaining financial and other business
records is also a part of this course. Students will work with a business simulation as well.
Accounting 2
Students will continue their study of Accounting
with special emphasis on accounting simulation, payroll systems, automated accounting, departmentalized accounting and corporate
accounting. As much of this course is self study, students should have the capability to be independent learners. Prerequisite C+ or better average in Accounting 1.
